We LOVE parent volunteers!

It takes more than just a handful of people to put on the events that happen throughout the school year at Delco. We need teams, committees and those can only happen with your involvement.

​

Whether their kids are just starting Pre-K or entering the final year, there are many good reasons for parents to volunteer at school. It's a great way to show your kids that you take an interest in their education.

 

Reasons to Get Involved:

    * Interaction with teachers, administrators, and other parents on a regular basis.

    * You'll also see trends and fads of school life that can help you communicate with your kids as they grow and change.

    * Offer a huge resource and support base for the school community.

    * Even if you haven't been involved in the past, it's never too late to start.

Finding the right opportunity, It's also a good idea to join the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO).

One of the best starting points for getting involved is a parent-teacher conference or open house.

There will be many opportunities to volunteer throughout the school year. Please check your student’s folder for more information, the school’s web-site and the PTO web page.

Remember that not everyone is suited for the same type of involvement — you may have to "try on" a number a few activities before you find something that feels right. If you're at a loss for how you can help, please ask your student’s teacher, Principal, or the PTO President.

Nos encantan los padres voluntarios!

Se necesita algo más que un puñado de personas para preparar los eventos que suceden durante todo el año escolar en Delco. Necesitamos equipos, comités y ellos sólo pueden ocurrir con su participación.

​

Si sus hijos están empezando Pre-Kinder o entrando en el último año de escuela, hay muchas buenas razones para que los padres sean voluntarios en la escuela. Es una gran manera de mostrar a sus hijos que usted toma un interés en su educación.

 

Razones de Participar:

     * Interacción con los maestros, administradores y otros padres regularmente.

     * También verá las tendencias y las modas de la vida escolar que pueden ayudar a comunicarse con sus hijos.
     * Ofrecer una enorme base de recursos y apoyo a la comunidad escolar.
     * Incluso si usted no ha estado involucrado en el pasado, nunca es demasiado tarde para empezar.

Encontrar la oportunidad adecuada es también una buena idea para unirse a la Organización de Padres y Maestros (PTO).

Uno de los mejores puntos de partida para involucrarse es una reunión de padres o de puertas abiertas.

Habrá muchas oportunidades para ser voluntario durante el año escolar. Por favor, busque en la carpeta de su hijo para obtener más información, el sitio web de la escuela y la página web del PTO.

Recuerde que no todo el mundo es adecuado para el mismo tipo de participación - puede que tenga que "probar " algunas de las actividades antes de encontrar algo que se siente bien. Si está perdido y no sabe cómo puede ayudar, por favor pregunte al maestro, el director de su estudiante, o el Presidente del PTO.
